Carl P. Majak

	Carl P. Majak, 78, of Tamaroa, passed away at 6:04 p.m. Friday, May 12, 2000 at the St. Elizabeths Hospital in Belleville.
	Carl was a retired plant supervisor at the Seaburg Co. in Chicago.  He was a US Navy veteran of WW II, serving in both the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters.   He was a member of the Waltonville American Legion.
	He was born June 24, 1921 at Cheyenne, Wyoming, the son of Paul and Ann (Niznik) Majak.  He married Clara T. Bronke on September 30, 1950 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill and she survives.
	He is survived by his wife of Tamaroa; two sons, Dwain Paul Majak of Kansas and Alan Karl Majak and wife Ann of West Palm Beach, FL; one daughter, Cathleen Ann Frye and husband John of OFallon; two sisters, Anna Mae Wieckowski of Chicago and Pauline Philipak of St. Louis and seven grandchildren.
	He was preceded in death by his parents.
	Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Monday, May 15 at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church in Todds Mill with Fr. James Van Oss officiating.
	Friends were able to call from 5 until 8 p.m. Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa  A prayer service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
	Interment was in the St. Mary Magdalen Cemetery at Todds Mill.
	Friends may make memorials to the Hospice of Southern Illinois.
